Agency Registration for Service Providers

Agency Registration is an online service where new directly authorised Intermediary Firms, whether they are a sole trader or a large limited liability Intermediary Firm, can apply for agency registration, with multiple Product Providers, via one electronic application.

In this area, dedicated to Service Providers, you can find out how to make the most of the Agency Registration service, including:

  • Benefits for you.
  • Benefits for your members.
  • Overview of the application process.
  • Who is involved.
  • How to become a participating member of the service.

Benefits for you

  • Validated agency registration forms with fewer errors.
  • Details of the application such as Company name, address, FSA number, Service Provider Panel and payment method (if any selected) are sent to you to either confirm as being correct or can be rejected, ensuring accurate applications.
  • No more paper forms to manage, complete, print, send and store.
  • Faster completion, transmission and processing of applications, saving you time.
  • The service is free for Service Providers and their member Intermediary Firms.

Benefits for your members

  • Complete one online application form, which will be validated for errors and can be saved.
  • Select a number of participating Product Providers to which your members can electronically submit their application in one single step.
  • Access the Terms of Business of all participating Product Providers to view them at any time.

Overview of the application process

So how does it all work?

In more detail:

  1. The form will ask for the following details:
    >  Firm details.
    >  Applicant, Executive and Business Writer details.
    >  Commission/bank details.
    >  Product and Service Provider relationship details.
    >  Select which providers you would like to apply and accept their Terms of Business online, if appropriate.
  2. You will then receive an email detailing your application.
  3. You can opt to save the application details on the service for up to 90 days, before finally submitting your application.
  4. If a Service Provider relationship exists, an email is sent, informing the Service Provider that a new application requires to be verified.
  5. The Service Provider clicks on the link to the website and logs in to see the relevant application details and either approves or rejects the application accordingly.
  6. Once verified by the Service Provider, if applicable, the application details are passed to each selected Product Provider.  (Please note that Product Providers will receive details of their applications only.)
