Using your website wisely

Having a website for your firm is now an essential part of being a ‘professional company’ – not just to attract potential clients but also as a useful servicing and information resource for current clients.

Many technology suppliers now provide website building services and most portals have their own products or partnerships with specialist firms who they will gladly recommend.

As far as the content of the site goes, you can choose to keep to the basics and simply have the type of information which would normally go in a corporate brochure or you can be more ambitious and include interactive functions, even online quotes and sales tools.

A good website is one which is easy on the eye but also simple to navigate and above all the domain name (or online address) should be something quite obvious, like your company name, which is more likely to be found through a search engine, like ‘Google’ or ‘Yahoo’.
